Miguel works for Securitas Direct and he installed my alarm and before me, many friends of mine had alarms installed by him. Reliable, and quick to respond, and for those who don’t speak Spanish, he also speaks English!

Triple A

Triple A is a fantastic nonprofit rescue shelter for homeless and abandoned animals. Costa del Sol is full of animals that need shelter and the local authorities do little about this issue.

Thanks to Triple A many animals get a second chance at life. Please contact them if you want a cat or dog and maybe you can also help them with dog walks or transport foist pets to their new families in Germany, Sweden, or Finland when you anyway are going back home from Costa del Sol. It is a very simple and fantastic way to help out.

Nikki Beach

Nikki Beach Marbella opened in 2003 and is located on one of the finest white sandy beaches in Spain. The beach club is comprised of a swimming pool with sun beds on a raised deck, a large open-air restaurant, a centrally located octagon-shaped bar, a Lifestyle boutique, and a terrace with spectacular views of the Sea. A Restaurant & Beach Club famous for Champagne tastings, opulent lunches, daytime dancing, signature White opening parties, and Red closing parties. I would also like to add that they are generously hosting my annual Maiti Nepal charity gala on a non-profit basis which for me makes them stand out from any other club or restaurant on the Costa del Sol.

Pedros Beach

Pedros Beach opened in 1978 so I remember it from the very first visit to Marbella with my parents. It is my preferred chill-out place where I can bring Karlsson and just recharge my batteries. Nice ambiance and, most of the time, quiet and relaxing. I normally would order a nice salad down and eat by my subbed but sometimes I also go to the neighboring restaurant Los Espigones for the best paella on the coast.

Marbella Rent a Bike

Marbella Rent a Bike – the owners of this shop are my good friends but the reason I recommend Marbella Rent a Bike, is because loads of my clients have used them and they all have given me positive feedback! MRB has high-end bikes which they deliver home or you can go to their shop where they also do bike sales and repairs and have clothing and nutrition for sale. They have been on the coast since 2008 and are the number one bike rental here in Marbella and the only ones who do guided rides and training with a fully qualified UCI trainer.

Bellasol

Bellasol awnings and blinds in San Pedro de Alcantara have been on the coast for many years and they are one of the few companies in their field that have proven to me that they are efficient and competitively priced at the same time as doing a great job. Not only do they deal with the traditional awnings to keep the sun out or to protect your home but they also do PVC windows for energy saving and various double glazing windows as well as glass curtains for your terrace. When I wanted to make my blinds wind-sensitive to avoid it breaking, Vasile came and installed a wind sensor that works superbly. Vasile Bota, the owner speaks both Spanish and English and is very helpful so just give him a call.

Promas Construction and Design

As I am in the real estate business I have seen many good and bad building sites and renovation jobs over the years. This is probably one of the sectors on the coast where you will find the most amount of cowboys. Construction is very important and is also something that can turn out extremely expensive if not done properly from the start. Since I came in contact with Promas Construction, I have never had to worry about unhappy clients and bad work. They are extremely professional and always on time, which is highly unusual here. I have seen building jobs having years of delays. They have been on the coast for over 15 years and have everything from designers, architects, and builders in-house and specialize in bespoke residential re-modeling, home extensions, and swimming pool construction which require workmanship and attention to detail to the highest standard. They are fully insured and qualified in every field of expertise which gives me peace of mind when I recommend them to you. Another great thing is that they offer 3D renders, AutoCAD drawings, and 3D videos and send you weekly updates on the progress of your home during the construction or refurbishment. I am also very proud to say that they are one of the companies that yearly give a donation to the charity Maiti Nepal and support the annual Nikki Beach gala in the fight against human trafficking.

Gunnel´s Fashion

Gunnel’s Fashion is my absolute favourite boutique and luckily located just around the corner from my home, at Centro Plaza shopping center in Nueva Andalucia. Gunnel Bergman has such a great eye for trends and she has that gift that she can pick out the things that suit each individual customer´s style and body shape. She always finds me things that fit perfectly when I try them on! Her shop has a unique mix from every corner of the world of fashion. Both, my mum and my sister can shop in the same boutique even though we have very different styles. Gunnel travels to fashion fairs and hand-picks most of her fashion items and has many different brands like Mou, Please, Wildfox, Cosabella, Berenice, Busnel, Caroline Svedbom, Samsoe&Samsoe, and many more. Another great thing is that she models new arrivals on her Instagram @gunnelsfashionmarbella and you can order online as well!

Panatta Gym

One of my passions is fitness and bodybuilding and in 2018, I stood on stage competing in bikini fitness. This means that I spend a lot of time at the gym. I have for the last 4 years been going to Panatta Gym in San Pedro de Alcántara. Most gyms are in a basement or dark spaces while Panatta is upstairs in a bright and nice local full of windows where I have spent many mornings training to the sunrise. Another important thing is their opening hours. Most gyms in the south of Spain open at 8 am, which for a businesswoman is way too late. Panatta opens at 6 am on weekdays and they stay open all day until midnight for those who like to train in the evening instead of course they are open both Saturdays and Sundays. They have a large gym area and also boxing hall and an aerobic studio. Easy parking.

Jonathan Yeadon

Jonathan has been my hairdresser for 15 years now and since I started going to him, no other hairdresser touches my hair. I have sent friends and family to him and they have all been so happy. Many clients book themselves in with Jonathan especially for their visit to Marbella even though they don’t live here which you can tell by his busy schedule so make sure to book your appointment well in advance. Jonathan has worked as a hairdresser for thirty years and had his own salon in the UK before moving to Marbella nearly eighteen years ago. He is a round hairdresser that seems to have become a specialist in colour and chemical services, an area of the industry that he truly loves. He has an excellent eye and mixes colors as nobody I have ever known before. Another little secret is that Jonathan has done the hair for many famous starts over the years 🙂 Jonathan speaks English, Spanish, French, and German and is available five days a week.
